Course: Little L A/CW (5.2km)
Conditions: Light NW Wind, Sunny.
Summary: Great conditions greeted paddlers for the final point scoring round of the 20/21 season and some our central coast members were unable to join us due to the snap lockdown enforced on them, this will not affect the winner of the men’s overall as Marshall Kane scored enough points already to take out the Overall. Davey Freeman took advantage of Mashall’s absence to claim a rare win closely followed by Chad Davis who was making him nervous on the buoy turns. In the Women’s race Jennifer Fay Graham was a clear winner and also takes the overall for this this season, Nicky Day dug deep for her second place and second overall this season. Well done to all paddlers hope to see you next race when our new season kicks off.
Course: Big L (5km)
Summary: After our March race was washed out then the Liquid Blue Cup run in April, May sees a return to the LMSUPC 20/21 point score round, it was a chilly start but a few brave souls turned out to hit the water, well done to all and catch you on the water next time.
Course: Big-L Reverse (5km)
Conditions: 5 knts SW
Summary: Were greeted with some perfect conditions with little wind and glassy water, a short run to the first turn made for some action rounding the turning buoy. Marshall Kane made a sprint from the start opening up an early lead that nobody in the field could chase and took the win on the men’s race, while Jen Graham showed her dominance again in the female race, both Marshall and Jen set their personal bests for the year along with many others. Long time club legend Nicki Day performed timing duties so you will pick up the timer points for your efforts.
Course: Little-L Extra (5.6km)
Conditions: 12knts SE
Summary: Tough side wind conditions affecting a portion of the course and some extra distance thanks to a little mistake by the race director, but don't worry he got punshied hitting something in the water and going out the front door. It was definatly not a PB sort of day out there so thanks for your attendance and hope to see you on the water next race day.
